Dreamstate is a long form 6 hour soundscape. Four and a half hours of music to transport to you a place of deep sleep, and one and a half hours of music to bring you to the place between sleep and dreams, where your mind and your body are becoming aware of the other. In one dimension you want to stay in your 'Dreamstate' to stay asleep, and in the other dimension is your physical being, wanting to be awake. This is the music for that nightly journey.

Steve Roach's music generally falls into a number of sonic themes. There's his "earthly" side, which often involves rhythms with synths or drums. There's his "inner space" side, which is more abstract in feel. Eclipse Mix is an example of his "outer space" side, where the feel is more celestial. The phrase that comes to mind here is "heavy luminescence". It gets surprisingly intense at times and works as both foreground and background music. fyeahmetal
