This is the first in a series of Ambient Drone recordings. Almost a year in the making, Jim has released his first true ‘Ambient Drone’ CD. ‘Drone 1: The Darkside of the Drone’ takes the listener on an evocative, haunting sound journey, a soundtrack for the perfect nightmare. The darkness of space, in concert with the power of machines lets the multi layered sounds resonate and breath life in to what was once an empty void. At a minimum volume state the sounds join together for a weaved bed of restrained madness, sounds barely emerging from the din. At higher volumes, the sounds become animated, moving across the full mind spectrum, a panoramic journey between the din and drone.
