So this piece of music came together as I was running down the road the other day. I was running down one of the main roads in my town and when the run was finished, I realized that I had not seen another person or a car hadn’t drove by me. I could have run down the middle of the road, which would have been fun, and not been driven over.

And it got me thinking about everything that’s going on and how empty and deserted the streets have been in the last week or so. So this afternoon, I abandoned the music that was originally scheduled and found a great ambient piano sound, and just went for it. Everything I have been feeling, all of the nervousness and anxiety, for myself and everyone else. So this is the result. One take, fully improvised, minimal editing after. It’s very slow and sort of haunting, and evolves into something peaceful and calming.

I hope it relaxes you and you enjoy it. Here is ‘these empty streets’…
